Poland days 3-5

 Poland days 3-5

The day of the race we had to get up early to load up the van. We drove an hour to get to the race. It was busy and I didn't see anyone my age. I checked in and got my number, I was 25 days over the minimum age. I got to the crowded starting line, my heart was beating fast. In the middle of the race my legs felt like noddles, but I didn't give up. 25 miles later I saw the finish line, I tried to speed up but my legs said no, I eventually made it. I didn't think it would be as hard as it was but I still had fun. The next couple of days my legs still felt dead but it was worth it. After I got home I was tired and fell asleep right away. The next morning I picked cherries from the cherry tree in the back yard, I put them in a bowl and removed the pits with a pit remover. The cherries were then frozen in a freezer, they tasted just like candy

Poland day 1-2

Poland day 1-2

My dad's friend Arnie picked us up in Berlin Germany and we traveled to Poland. Arnie is a professional bike mechanic and races bikes. I went over to a friend's house to kick a soccer ball and get to know each other. He spoke polish and knew little English so it was difficult to communicate sometimes, but we could understand what each other were trying to say. I practiced bicycling to prepare for the race tomorrow, the race was long and on a hot day but I knew it would be fun.

Day 2

Day 2, Berlin

Today I went to an art gallery in Berlin. I noticed that the artists didn't use  the same techniques used in the US.

It was similar but I could tell a difference, for example: the US tends to use more warm and cool colors than European art. The European art didn't have much color which set a different mood.

Day 1

Day 1 in Berlin

Hi, i'm Leone Couzin. I will be making a blog telling my experiences in countries around eastern Europe. I will be in several counties, i'm not positive which ones though. i'm for sure going to Berlin, Germany and Poznan, Poland. Late last night I went to an anti war cafe, we talked politics and about the relations of Europe and the United States.
In this picture i was walking to the anti war cafe.

This is the anti-war cafe. this is a major hot spot for local activists.
